The commentluv plugin has been awesome. I have to admit, that there were not many blogs that I left a comment on before to the plugin. This is the best way now to get backlinks. For a non profit organization like us, it really helps us because we do not have to spend a lot of money. It costs time to write comments and I don't have much.
